Rookie Coach Pitch League The rookie coach pitch league will replace the Tee-Ball league effective with the 2008 season. The structure will be similar to the Tee-Ball program of the past, with one notable difference. Coaches will pitch to these kindergartners first before using a tee. Players will get 4 pitches to put the ball in play. If it is not put in play, the ball is placed on a tee. Pre-registration is encouraged. Click here for an application. instructions. Program EligibilityParticipants must be in Kindergarten during the current school year. Participation in the program is open to boys and girls who attend Dublin City Schools or who reside within the City of Dublin or reside within the Dublin City School District. General Structure(Fees schedule set in December prior to sign-ups)
League size for current year will be based on applications in house on January 31st. Limited openings are left for late sign-ups in the league and will be filled on a first-come, first-in basis. Once league is filled, applications will be placed on a wait-list with such applicants being put on teams to replace players who drop-out, move, become injured, etc. League meeting for coaches is scheduled during last the two weeks in March. Coaches are asked to notify players within 48 hours of the league meeting. Games and Practices
Practices are from 5:30 pm until 7:00 pm or from 7:00 pm until 8:30 pm Monday through Friday. One or two practices per week (six practices are scheduled over a four week period). Practices start the second week of April. No Saturday practices as not to conflict with Dublin Soccer League. Games are played at 6:30 pm Monday through Friday (one weekday game per week) and Saturdays beginning at 11:00 a.m. Game schedule generally begins the third Monday in May and continues through the second week in July. Some Saturday afternoon/evening games possible in May beginning first week in May.
