Board of Directors Adopts Policy Regarding Web Sites
At the May 20, 1999 meeting of the Board of Directors the following policy was adopted regarding the DYA web site and web sites constructed to provide information about DYA programs or teams. The policy was adopted following a report summarizing discussions held in April and May with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies and subsequent recommendations of those authorities regarding web use and the safety and well being of children.
A reminder that every parent whose child participates in a DYA program is a member of Dublin Youth Athletics.
Policy
No mention of name, address, or phone number of participants shall be included in any web site constructed by or for teams or participants in any program sponsored by Dublin Youth Athletics.
Encoded identification may be used, so long as the ID does not reveal or provide information about name, address, or phone number of participants.
Persons or members violating this policy are subject to disciplinary action.
