General Structure
** Grades are grade in school in January. League sizes are based on applications in house on January 31st. Limited openings are left for late sign-ups in each league and will be filled on a first-come, first-in basis. Once leagues are filled, applications will be placed on a wait-list with such applicants being put on teams to replace players who drop-out, move, become injured, etc. League meetings for coaches are scheduled during the last two weeks in March. Coaches are asked to notify players within 48 hours of the league meeting. Games and Practices
Generally, one or two practices per week until games begin. Generally, one or two games per week. Generally, no practices once games begin due to limited facilities. Practices are from 5:30 pm until 7:00 pm or from 7:00 pm until 8:30 pm Monday through Friday. Practices start the second week of April. No Saturday or Sunday practices as not to conflict with Dublin Soccer League or DYA Lacrosse program games. Games are played beginning at 6:00 pm or 6:15 pm Monday through Friday and all day Saturday, beginning in June. Tee-ball games may start at 6:30 pm on weekdays. Sunday afternoons in late June are reserved for make-up games or practices. Game schedule generally begins the third Monday in May and continues through the second week in July for coach pitch and the first week of July for other baseball leagues. Some Saturday afternoon/evening games in May beginning first week in May. Saturday games in May will be preceded by pictures for teams in playing on the respective Saturdays. No games are scheduled Memorial Day weekend, Memorial Day, or July 4th. Tournaments begin in July 5th and continue through late July, depending on weather. Program Fee: Varies by league. See application form.Fees includes team shirt, hat, 2-in-1 stirrup socks for coach pitch, minor and major leagues, stirups for junior pony, pony, and senior pony leagues. Pants are sold separately and are available at the office. Each tee-ball and coach pitch player receives an individual participation trophy. In all other baseball leagues the teams play year-end tournaments. Tournament winners and runners-up receive individual trophies. |
