Travel Basketball

The program offers travel teams at the following ages. All players or their parents must reside within the Dublin School District, attend Dublin Schools, or live in the City of Dublin.

*Parents of players making all regular season teams must work four to six hours during the Holiday Tournament. The tournament is a fundraiser for DYA with a portion of the proceeds being applied to reduce the cost of the program to the fee level indicated.

** In some years there have not been enough fifth grade players to staff a second entry into the league. In those years there has only been one fifth grade girls travel team.

Tryouts for travel basketball teams are held in September and October immediately preceding the season. Sign-ups are at the same time as basketball signups. There is a non-refundable commitment fee of $85 required to tryout. This is in addition to the recreation fee paid at sign-ups. All players who do not make a travel roster are automatically placed in the recreation league and the $85 fee is returned. For players making the teams, the commitment fee is applied to fees due for the season.

Tryouts for post-season 10 and under, 4th grade teams are held in early January. Teams practice on Fridays, so as not to conflict with recreation league practices. Tournaments are after the DYA regular season concludes.
