Basketball -  Travel tryout schedule

Players trying out for travel teams are advised to attend all sessions.

Mandatory parents meeting at the start of the first day of respective tryouts.

All players must be registered for DYA (register online) recreation and bring an $85.00 check to tryouts.  The $85 check is a commitment fee and along with the $75.00 paid for recreation basketball will total the $160.00 fee for travel basketball.  Players not making a team will have their $85.00 check returned.

If volleyball is going on in the gym when you arrive, please wait patiently in the commons.  Signins will start approximately 20 minutes in advance our our gym times.

Players should wear their DYA green and white reversible jersey.   Travel or AAU apparel, etc, is not to be worn and players will be asked to change out of such apparel before entering the gym.

At the start of the first tryout time for each group there will be a brief meeting with parents to discuss the program and answer any questions related to the program, the tryouts, or the season.

All parents of players participating in the travel program are required to work the Holiday Tournament.  This is a DYA fundraising activity, which in part offsets some of the cost of the travel program.

IMPORTANT NOTEHistorically, there have been occasions when school functions have bumped travel tryouts at the last moment.  Be prepared for short notice of change due to school functions.  Schools have first priority use of facilitiesCall 777-2222 x 7246 before leaving for your tryout.  Thank you.

Please note respective league and tournament rules require no 10 and under player be in a grade higher than fourth grade, no 11 and under player be in a grade higher than fifth, and no 12 and under player be in a grade higher than sixth.

The travel tryout schedule is as follows.  If the dates are from the prior year, it means the contracts from the individual schools for this year have not been received yet.  Dates and times for this year will be posted as soon as they become known.  Generally, tryouts are held the same weeks each season.

As school functions occur that result in changes, such Changes will be marked with designation.
